This desk was super easy to put together. It’s good quality and sturdy. Definitely worth the cost. The draw comes put together and it’s a little off, but other than that it’s perfect.This is fairly easy to put together and it looks good.This is a suprisingly sturdy, heavy table considering it's "engineered wood." It's a good style because it goes well with farmhouse or contemporary/casual decor (my house), and the matte black looks great with most furniture. It's wider than I expected it to be, and just generally looks and feels substantial. It doesn't look like "fine furniture" because of the finish (it chips fairly easily...I dinged it putting it together) but that's pretty typical of low-end furniture in dark/black finishes (chips are more noticeable because the wood underneath is so much lighter). I put it next to my sectional, and I love the size and additional storage because I keep a stack of books/magazines/crossword puzzle books, pen, glass of water, and my phone next to me when relaxing on the couch, and most end tables end up cluttered with this stuff because they're small. I love this for my casual family room/den (where it's just us and the dogs and really good friends who don't care whether my furniture is fancy or not?), and I would definitely recommend it. You could even squeeze a lamp on it, which is a bonus.My husband and I put it together in about 30 minutes, and no one slept in the guest room that night, so I consider it a successful experience. Everything lined up correctly, and all the pieces were included. Directions were fairly clear (better than Ikea, which has been the cause of much marital strife).This is one of those dilemmas that sometimes occur when I am reviewing something. The table looks great, got it together in no time but the product page lists this as a 50lb weight limits for the top and only 25lbs for the bottom?? In a house where you have small kids if these limits are realistic (is seemed stronger than that) you could have a safety hazard since they will climb on or through anything (25 lbs on the bottom would not last). So I give it 4 Stars with those caveats since depending on who is buying it and where it is placed becomes a primary concernThis end table is quite sturdy and was pretty easy to assemble. The table has a bit of heft to it, but I could still pick it up to move it by myself.The table pieces come w/screws, washers, cam locks, etc & an allen wrench, but you will also need a Philip's head screwdriver (not included).There are 4 table pieces, 2 side pieces, 1 top, & 1 bottom shelf. The instructions are simple and the parts go together easily. The only issue I had was the 2 bolts/screws that get put in w/an Allen wench, on the underside of the table top, were a bit annoying to tighten because of the angled piece of wood that runs diagonally on each side. The angled piece is in the way, so it takes longer to tighten it because I had to keep taking the allen wrench out and repositioning it. Other than that, the assembly went smoothly.There was a lot of styrofoam dust stuck to the table pieces, so have a vacuum w/a brush attachment handy.This table looks great, but it is a bit large. Make sure you have a decent place for it. The bottom shelf can hold up to 25 lbs and is good for displaying pictures/knickknacks. I personally think it looks nice with a basket of books or magazines on the bottom shelf.The top can hold up to 50 lbs, but I don't ever see me needing to store 50 lbs of stuff on top.Overall this table is easy to assemble and it looks great and it's sturdy.This end table looks great in my home. I like that the top of the end table has a smooth and shiny sheen on top giving it a sleek look while still having an overall contemporary farmhouse design.This end table is easy to put together and seems to be sturdy once it is together.This end table is packaged with a lot of styrofoam which made unpacking it extremely messy and really annoying.I wish I could upload my pics of this - not sure why I cant, but it’s great!The instructions are clear, concise, & simple. The parts are numbered & placed in divided bags so there’s no wondering what’s what at all.I put this together myself in about 15 minutes. The pieces are fairly heavy, but not so large that 2 people are needed.The design is classic, modern lines & it’s also functional by having a bottom shelf. I’m using it in our basement next to a light cream couch, so the contrast looks fantastic!Good question for review: will I order another one for the other side of my couch? YES - absolutely!NOTE: it’s packed well with styrofoam sheets, but they left little white crumbles all over the black finish! Have a dustbuster nearby when you open it.ALSO: use a rug/carpet or put a towel down for assembly. This one has the easiest instruction to follow of them all. Presented with large drawings, and each part numbered, I was able to assemble it in under 15 minutes. You will need your own screwdriver, but an allen wrench is included. It’s simple, attached the bottom shelf, then attached the top, and that’s it.What a beautiful end table! Really sturdy, with a modern, almost Japanese type of lines and style. I’m using it as an altar and it looks amazing. I’m a big fan of Target furniture as they provide great value. I’d rank this end table above Target on the scale of quality. I’m very frugal when it comes to giving 5 star ratings, but this table deserves one.
