It's a great deal but it was "delayed" and when it arrived the box was destroyed. Didn't notice for a week but the side of my desk was scratched pretty bad too. But overall it's a great desk and works beautifully.I find it ironic I purchased this to help my back but in order to do so, you have to kill your back to get it installed. That said, this desk is beautiful and super easy to install. Definitely use 2 people. It's solid and very heavy. This product is safe and durable. I will have this for quite some time.My 72X30 desk arrived last week missing the desk top. Called customer service and spoke to Saul. Saul was amazing and might be the best customer service person I have ever dealt with. He immediately got on the case, stayed in touch with me and my top arrived two days later. I cannot say enough about him and his handling of my case. Assembly was easy and handled by myself and a friend. I also purchased the cable maintenance tray. The tray had no hardware. Called customer service again and I will get my hardware next Wednesday or one week after calling in the problem. This is unacceptable for me and I do not understand why this could not been sent out two day fedex when the original order and desk top was shipped that way. I went out of my way to buy a Vari and could have bought another desk for half the price. There seems to be something wrong in their warehouse and they need to fix whatever is wrong. When you charge what they charge, they need to make sure that orders are shipped with everything. The desk seems sturdy and works. I hope the desk lives up to the Company’s hype.I was wavering between a less expensive standing desk and the Vari. I so glad I chose the Vari. You really do get what you pay for. This is a high quality well-built piece. It was really easy to assemble. The motor is quite and the programming of the pre-set heights was simple. The directions included were easy to follow. I really pleased with the desk. I got the reclaimed wood version and it looks great. I had an issue with the shipper damaging the top and Vari quickly replaced it with no issues. So, their customer support is steller too! If you are looking for a high quality standing desk this is the one.Love, love ,love this desk. I have always bought desks with adjustable legs so that I can change the height sometimes but it was ALWAYS an inconvenience because it was all manual and had limitations. If you wanted to save money you couldn't go with electronic desks. After living with the pandemic for so long and having to spend many long shifts sitting at a desk TORTURING MY BACK I felt I owed myself a nice gift. This desk became the child I wished I had sooner. No more unloading the desk to change the leg height, no more buying junky cardboard or nifty adjustable stands for raising the monitors. Now I just press a button and the entire tabletop raises up and down flawlessly and quietly with everything on it. Having 4 buttons for memory settings is an added bonus of pure joy too! I don't think I will EVER go back to a regular desk for the rest of my remaining years.It's more expensive than a regular desk and not very portable in case you're the type that moves around a lot because it weighs well over 100 lbs. The bonus is the convenience factor of having the option to sit or stand while you work with no effort.Getting a cable management basket for underneath is also recommended too. I was worried about wires getting pinched when it would lower after having it raised up. The one that they sell wouldn't work with my current monitor attachment and so I opted for some cheapo brand. Plus I needed more than one basket and the tabletop only had pre-drilled holes for one of VARI's baskets in an already fixed location. Instead, I drilled holes for the cheapo baskets I bought and so far it works as a great alternative. If my set-up changes in the future to accommodate VARI'S basket, the original holes will be ready to go too.The desk was so simple to set up. No power tools needed. Everything slides and clicks in place and the provided screws plus allen wrenches they give you holds the pieces together solidly. The instructions aren't in some ancient language, either. Very simple to understand with added illustrations and the video on the website is great if you hate instructions like most of us guys. To be honest, I was more worried about the shipping of the item more than anything. Came in two boxes that were re-enforced with much protection and cushioning. You definitely get your money's worth with this product.Dream come trueThe desk is not stable due to terrible quality!!! On the bottom of one leg where screws are used for the T structure, the screw holes are not aligned. This causes one of the screws get struck before it can tighten the metal foot that touches the ground. That desk leg can not be securely installed… The other leg is perfectly okay though without this problem. I can’t use this desk because of the screw hole on that leg. One quality issue leads to a horrible experience.Update: Vari shipped another set of desk legs, and now the issue is fixed.After using the desk for two days, one more suggestion: the height control button is not sensitive - I need to firmly press it down to change the height.Product arrived without extension cables to connect both legs to thr power adapter. As I result, I am left with a very expensive unusable desk. Harsh review? Yes. You deserve one when charging $895 on a piece of IKEA-quality laminate and not delivering even the basics? Yes.Update: The Vari team solved the problem sending me the correct cables and now everything is working. I thought the texture of the table would be a bit more polished (it's slightly rough and rustic) and that's a bit disappointing. Robust control mechanisms and good quality electrical components.
