The GoodSo I purchased this item rather than the other competitors on Amazon b/c it was the only one that would fit the dimensions of the table top slab I already had. The item arrived in a pretty timely manner for coming from Taiwan. Packaging was solid; rigid styrofoam. No complaints there. But PLEASE LABEL THE PARTS. Nothing more frustrating then spending needless time trying to eyeball a couple dozen parts hoping you have done so accurately before you begin assembling. After spending some time making sure I had all the components assembly went smoothly enough. It can be done by a single person but would advise 2 sets of hands. The Not So GoodAfter getting it all together I wanted to test the mechanics and make sure all was in working order before pre-drilling a couple dozen holes in my beautiful Sycamore top...this is of course rather cumbersome to do as the micro controller module / box must be oriented in a horizontal fashion which leaves you with the options of A.) Mounting it to the top (again drilling holes) or B) Using some sort of adhesive to temporarily attach it to the frame...I ended up doing the former. No problem I thought I'll just drill the 3-4 holes needed to stabilize the top and base so the controller would engage the 3 motors appropriately. Moment of truth came and DOH! E60 error. One motor would engage and lift but the other 2 were doing nothing. Was REALLY worried I'd be screwed trying to diagnose the issue. Was it the controller, the cables connecting the actuators to the controller, the actuators themselves, etc.Happy EndingI reached out to AVLT custormer support and received a very prompt response from customer support. Ended up having to crack open the actuator housing and low and behold one of the actuators circuit board was completely fubar'd. Customer support though was very helpful. Worked with me to get a second set of actuators sent directly to me. They arrived in a couple days even with intl shipping. I replaced all 3 actuators just to err on the side of precaution. Got things reassembled and SUCCESS! Lifts engaged, presets worked without issue. Happy customer! So with all that said and done I arrived at 4 stars. A knock for the quality assurance issue that can happen with any product / manufacturer, but very happy with the customer support and ultimate resolution. We'll see how quality / durable the electronics are a few years down the line. But for now would recommend the product to others no doubt. I would recommend though maybe a redesign which would allow for the control box to be affixed to the frame itself rather than need to mount it to your top so that folks can properly assess the functioning of the unit as a whole without having to drill 20+ holes in their top first...As with many things, sometimes you have an assembly that shows up and it will not work. This was the case with my desk frame. I contacted the seller and within a short amount of time, they sent me all of the durable parts required to troubleshoot my issue. I am mechanically inclined and was able to remove and replace these parts easily. I am happy to say that it all worked out for me due to their customer service! Thank you AVLT!Just got it fully assembled with my tops (a 6' and 4' butcher block) and I'm in love! The standing feature maxes out at 49.2" (comes to my chest and I'm 6'1"!) and the lowest value I could probably sit on the floor and use it (uncomfortably but, still) It claims to support over 300lbs and with about 125lbs in tops, and then all my stuff, it feels plenty sturdy! I won't try to sit on it or anything, I'm not as thin as I used to be, but I'm very happy with the quality. Assembly can be a bit of a pain, what with how heavy the parts get when trying to hold them steady in unwieldy positions, but not too bad otherwise! The assembly was fairly easy with two people, having the desktop was great. However, though it said it would fit per the description I did have reoriented the design. It is sturdy a bit heavy with it all assembled so be prepared to not move it once installed. am going to add felt under the feet to help slide it back and forth on the hardwood floor. I've also applied monitor are mounted and the desk moves up and down just fine. Lastly, it's VERY quiet and smooth when moving up and down! The 4 button program is awesome and seriously, it's a smooth transition... I do think it could be a bit less in price if you already have the desktop.I wanted a L shaped stand up desk but didn't want to spend $1300+ I took a gamble with this and it definitely paid off. Very easy to put together. Everything is well constructed with the exception of the buttons. The buttons feel very cheap but totally fine for the price. I still haven't figured out how to program it but regardless I am very happy! It was a little bit of a challenge to assemble, but once I had a top, it was very sturdy and everyone comments on how quiet it is going up and down. I particularly like how tall it can get as I am 6'4.I ended up using butcher block from Home Depot for the top (6 foot and 4 foot). It looks great and the legs stand up to the weight with ease. This standing desk frame is perfect. Fit our existing Ikea table top and was able to assemble the frame, slide in under the existing too, the raise the frame to remove the old legs. The memory functions are great and the up/down speed is excellent compares to my standing desk at work which is slow. Overall really Impressed with this unit compared to others that are not a true L shape frame.
