After reading plenty of reviews on electric adjustable height desks, I made the decision to go with a DUAL motor one. Mostly because of the weight capacity and sharing of the load between a symmetrical lift system just seems to make sense.I won't get into the weeds about the table top being two pieces (which BTW doesn't affect the use, its a the center line of the desktop or about the laminate was cracked when screwing the hardware onto the bottom of the table top. Here are my observations to some of the complaints. The table top is the junction for EVERY component of this adjustable table. When screwing the binding plates and reinforcements, I found a couple of items. The square metal plates that secure the aforementioned two halves of the table top are sturdy and look great the problem are the predrilled holes - they don't line up with the ones on the metal plate. Now you could probably force the screws down at an angle or with enough effort make them "self tap" through the laminate/MDF.There is a problem with that approach. It could potentially cause the MDF to crack or erupt on the opposite side when forcing the screws. Take a look at the second photo where you can see the screw length vs the table top thickness. There isn't much margin for error, plus without a pilot hole that extra MDF has to go somewhere when the screw is boring a hole right? So I added some metal washers to pull back the screws front going too deep, plus I drilled (1/16") holes that actually lined up with that metal bracket. ALSO on every page of the instructions that showed installing the screws - it clearly states "DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS". Good reason, there isn't much room for error. How many will admit to cranking down those tiny screws? The square table top brackets aren't the only ones that didn't line up. The two side brackets that line up with the left/right table legs did not either. I too used metal washers and drilled additional pilot holes.Other than those nick picks - the desk appeared to initialize correctly, took the 3 memory positions and worked smoothly during the several tests. The included wiring tray was great to have, as I didn't have to figure out how to neatly arrange the wiring. Problem was the predrilled location interfered with the monitor stand table top clamps. So I simply moved it towards the center and drilled two new pilot holes reassigning the rear tray holes to the front ones.I have dual set up using some older 24" Dell monitors that weigh about twice the newer ones do and secured with an older heavy duty Fleximount (has 1.25" tubes and a double clamp) dual monitor bracket. Combined probably in the neighborhood of 35 pounds of hardware plus the wireless access point, keyboard, mouse, speakers and stationary - around 40 pounds total. The table motors handled it with ease and only a few seconds between positions.PROS - simple to assemble and get working. Cost value with coupon.CONS - pilot holes not accurate. Wooden dowel pins are loose - recommend using some wood/carpenter's glue with the dowel pins. The wiring tray interfered with the monitor clamping bracket but your mileage may vary depending on your set up.OVERALL - recommended adjustable desk set up just be diligent about checking if the hardware lines up correctly and have a way to make some new pilot holes if necessary.
